The mobile phone was made for man

Its crazy these days, the way everyone seems to have a wrong relationship with their mobile phones. You can`t even get a conversation in, before a fellow conversant escuses you to pick a call. And then there is the ever present ring ring of your mobile phone or someone else`s.

People just can`t stand their phones ringing - they must reach for it, ignoring the importance or otherwise of the matter at hand.

Pray, tell, was the phone made for man, or man for the phone? Must people always check whose call they missed, who sent them a text message, bla bla bla?

And must they reply or call back immediately?

This world is going ga-ga!
